Survey On The Spot is a mobile survey platform that allows anyone with a smartphone or a computer to take a survey. For example, your customers can provide real-time feedback to you right from their phone while in your restaurant or business. Customers may upload photos and reviews and rate the service while they're there. You can hand out mobile surveys on a mobile device with the bill, at a touch-screen kiosk, or your customers can download Survey On The Spot on an iPhone and the GPS will send them to the right survey when they're at your restaurant, store, or other business location. Customers can also take your survey on a Droid, Blackberry, smartphone browser or our website by entering your unique code. Many businesses offer rewards for taking surveys, including discounts, sweepstakes, or points that can be redeemed for special offers and promotions.

What devices can be used to take surveys?

Surveys may be taken on all mobile phones and tablets using the browser or an App, and also on any computer using a web browser. The device requires a live internet connection, either using the mobile phone network (3G/4G), WiFi, or a direct internet connection.

Anyone may take a survey from their computer's browser by going to www.surveyonthespot.com and then entering a survey code on the lower-left of the screen. Every survey has it's own URL that is provided when the survey is created by selecting the "Details" button. The link is in the format http://www.surveyonthespot.com/abcdef where abcdef is the survey code. This link can be emailed, included on a web page or newsletter, embedded in a QR code, put on a Facebook page, included in a Tweet, included on marketing materials, and used in many other ways.

Best Practices: Use Survey On The Spot to gather On-Site Insights (SM) in Restaurants

It's easy to gather On-Site Insights at the end of a meal. Using Available Guest Time while the server is processing payment, guests have time to complete a survey on an iPod touch or iPad provided by the restaurant. Taking surveys on the web - Use an iframe on your site

Anyone may take a survey from their computer's browser by going to www.surveyonthespot.com and then entering a survey code. Every survey has it's own URL that is provided when the survey is created by selecting the "Details" button. The link is in the format http://www.surveyonthespot.com/abcdef where abcdef is the survey code.

As an alternative, you may want people to see the survey on your webpage. It's easy to have people take your Survey On The Spot right from your website, Facebook page...anywhere where you can edit the HTML on the web. Simply cut and paste the iframe code we provide, and your survey wil instantly appear!

Replace "xxxxxx" with your Survey Code. The height may be changed as necessary to fit into your website.

If you have made the decision to provide devices to your customers, such as an iPod or iPad, you may decide it's a good idea to secure your device. We recommend that you consider using products that have been proven to "reduce" theft at phone stores throughout the world.

Some products offer an alarm, others simply provide a deterrent using a wire cord to secure the device.

Features of the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch App

Surveys: Your customers can take surveys using our app or website. Your customers can find your survey participating by pressing "Find Surveys Around Me" or entering the first few letters of a business name in the search box. In most surveys customers can also add comments, text, photos, and videos.

General Interest Surveys: Displays a choice of surveys in several categories, including news and sports.

My Wallet: After a coupon is displayed, customers can choose to redeem it immediately, or save it in My Wallet for future use. The "wallet" icon is only displayed after a reward has been earned.

Tell A Friend: Customer need to simply enter their Twitter and/or Facebook login and password one time, and then they can send a Tweet or post to their Facebook wall right from the Survey On The Spot app.

Alert!: Pressing the Alert tab starts a green and blue flashing Thumbs-Up strobe to get the attention of service personnel if a customer needs help. Flipping their iPhone changes it to a red and gold flashing Thumbs-Down! The Thumbs-Up/Down feature allows customers to share "Yea" or "Nay" with friends. This is a "fun" feature...it does not send an alert message. Alert messages are an option you may utilize based on specific survey responses if you are using our "Pro" plan.

Profile: Customers may optionally enter profile information to receive updates or sign up for your mailing list.
