Education
Survey On The Spot can be a powerful tool to gain 'customer' feedback in an educational environment. Given the everyday use of smartphones by student populations, Survey On The Spot provides an ideal way to get instant feedback on everything from course work to visiting student tours.
The easy-to-use web portal allows you to publish mobile surveys in a matter of minutes. These customized surveys can be branded for your institution. Students can be prompted to take the survey with direct web links posted on a black-board or by using a QR code in a powerpoint presentation.
Survey responses are posted immediately and questions can be flagged to send an instant email so faculty or staff can follow-up immediately. Automated reporting can be used to track performance over time and be used for employee coaching. The system is also ideally suited for special campus event feedback or to gain insights on dining hall service.
Survey On The Spot gives you feedback when you need it most, right now!
FEATURED WORK

Government Services Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians
View Case StudyGSACEP used Survey On The Spot to gather lecture evaluations for our Continuing Medical Education (CME) conference. Conference organizers must be able to show that they are evaluating lecturers and content to award CME credit for their event, and Survey On The Spot has made the process of gathering that feedback much easier.
"We used Survey On The Spot on attendees’ personal iPhones, smartphones, and over the internet for a 4 day conference with over 150 attendeees. After each lecture, a slide was displayed with the lecture survey code and a QR code that attendees could scan that took them directly to the survey through Survey On The Spot. Survey On The Spot provided us with immediate feedback on lecturers, as well as significanty increasing the number of people who submitted feedback.
"One of the busiest times for Arc is during O-week at UNSW, when masses of new and returning students converge on campus to take part in a week-long program of events and activities before formal lessons begin. In 2011, Arc decided it would take advantage of Survey On The Spot’s rad mobile surveying capabilities with the aim of surveying students during one of the most hectic weeks at UNSW..."
Survey On The Spot featured in two new Case Research Journal business cases
Finale: Just Desserts and Finale and Survey On The Spot business cases feature theSurvey On The Spot mobile survey research application. In collaboration with client Finale, the cases challenge business students to explore the new mobile survey research platform and analyze survey results for customer insights to make better managerial decisions.
Finale: Just Desserts introduces mobile survey research methodology and includes real data so that students can perform their own analysis, draw conclusions and make recommendations to Finale co-founder Paul Conforti based on his goals for the research. Finale and Survey On The Spot focuses on the managerial implications of the data. Students learn that Conforti has dropped all other marketing research methods in favor of mobile survey research. The results he is receiving are quite positive and he is worried that the results are “too good.” Conforti is concerned about how actionable such positive results are for managing Finale restaurants and that his decision to drop other research methods may have been precipitous. Students draw conclusions from the case and survey results to offer managerial recommendations about these concerns.
The cases have been used at Northeastern University in marketing research undergraduate and graduate courses.
